-Ultimate in Direct Moisture Measurement!
- simple-to-use system allows the user to accurately measure moisture samples
as low as two parts per million (2ppm).
- Samples are placed in a drying tube and heat is applied.
- Moisture and other volatiles are is driven into the sealed atmosphere and
pumped through an activated carbon filter (which passes only the moisture mol-
ecules). The moisture is then absorbed in a molecular sieve chamber. The weight of
the absorbed moisture is measured by an analytical balance. This "Gain on Drying"
weight is converted into a moisture content. Inert N2 gas may be applied across the
drying chamber to improve accuracy and expedite drying of extremely low content
samples.
-Unlike Karl Fischer Titrators, since no chemical reagents are used, only moisture is
measured (as chemical interaction is eliminated).
- eliminates the cost of reagents and preparation necessary for Karl Fischer Titrators as well as the expensive disposal costs of the various chemical wastes.
